Before using a particular bench in your workout, you should check the padding density by pushing your fingers down onto the cushion. If you are able to feel the wood through the padding, the machine is either cheaply made or worn out. Choose a more comfortable one. If you work out using a machine that has worn padding, you may end up with bruises upon your posterior. Aside from that, a poorly padded machine will not give you proper support.
