It is not easy to lose weight. It’s going to take time to change lifelong habits. The tips below will show you the way.
Drinking green tea is a good idea for weight loss. Green tea is known to kick up metabolism and get energy. Simply consume a cup of green tea each morning prior to working out to enjoy the extra energy it imparts.
Don’t use shakes or protein bars to lose weight. These often do not satisfy your hunger and are filled with calories. Instead, you end up cranky and still hungry even immediately after a “meal.” On top of that, they often have a lot of sugar and sodium, too.
Eating breakfast is one of the most important parts of losing weight. Get your metabolism revved up first thing in the morning by getting some food in your right away. Eating a good breakfast every day will show your body that you don’t need to store your food as fat.
Find someone who also wants to lose weight to join you and help you on your way. It can be easier to lose weight when you have company. Your weight loss partner can serve as a coach or a competitor; both possibilities add tangents of fun and are conducive to positive results in the end.
Instead of lying down or sitting while on the phone, turn this time into a mini workout. Move around when you’re on the phone vs sitting down and talking. This can be a simple walk, just to get the blood flowing. If you make an effort to walk more often and avoid inactivity, you could burn a lot of calories.
Your fitness routine should emphasize cardiovascular workouts if your goal is getting rid of fat. Cardio workouts get your heart rate up, and burn fat more efficiently than resistance exercises would. Any exercise that raises your heart rate and keeps it up can be considered cardio exercise, so just find something you like to do.
There are few that will say they do not enjoy eating french fries. Unfortunately, they have wrecked many well-intentioned dieters. That said, if you absolutely must have french fries, have baked fries instead of those that are fried. Cut your potatoes about a 1/2″ thick, put them into a bowl with a tbsp. of oil, then lightly add a pinch of rosemary (optional), salt, and pepper; bake one layer for 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Use a spatula to flip them over and leave it in the oven for 10 more minutes.
