It is common knowledge that drinking plenty of water will help with weight loss. However, were you aware that very cold water can make your metabolism work harder? Drinking very cold water forces your body to do work to bring the temperature up, which raises your metabolism.

French Fries

Everyone loves french fries! Unfortunately, they cause problems for many people who are trying to lose weight. Try baking your french fries to continue with your weight loss. Steamed vegetables are higher in nutrients and usually much tastier than vegetables cooked any other way. Turn the fries over with a spatula and continue baking for about 10 minutes. Make exercise a priority as you are dieting, but keep it fun. Many studies have found that exercise is essential for long term weight loss success, but sometimes individuals find it difficult to stay motivated when they try to work out. Find things you enjoy, interactive video games, a walk in the park or playing a game with friends.

Make sure to maximize your water intake during the day. If you eat a sensible diet and consume at least four glasses of water each day for seven days, you’ll shed some water weight. You’re not actually losing any fat with this method, but it will take off a bit of weight and get you motivated to lose more.

Focus on establishing good habits that will help you lose weight rather than focusing on eliminating all your bad habits. It’s easier to stick to your goals if you focus on positive changes. Replace your habit of stopping at the doughnut shop in the morning with a visit to the fruit stand. It is far easier to start new habits as opposed to trying to eliminate old ones.
