The good news is that getting fit is not as hard as you may think. Here are some great fitness tips to get you started.
If you can find an exercise you enjoy, you’ll be more likely to stay committed. If you are doing an activity you enjoy you will start to look forward to your work outs.
Do you think that you are too busy to stay fit? Make your workouts into two sessions. Try cutting your total work out time into half or thirds. You can jog for half an hour when you get up and half an hour when you get home from work instead of running one complete hour. If you do not like to go to the gym two times in a single day, try having one workout in the gym and one outdoors.
Push ups are an excellent way to bulk up triceps. The trick is to take the normal pushup and directly target your triceps. This is done by rotating your hands 45 degrees. Your fingertips should now be facing each other. This modified pushup is the most effective way to get those triceps strong and toned.
With every exercise, exhale after each repetition. This give your body more energy as you take in more air after each exhale.
While many people enjoy using treadmills in gyms or their own homes, running outside is better exercise. Treadmills are a great bad-weather substitute, but there’s nothing quite like running on pavement.
If you perform repetitive movements, try counting backwards from your desired total. Watching the numbers decrease will keep you motivated better than watching them increase.
Fitness can have more than just physical benefits. If you start a new workout routine, your mental health will improve as well. Workouts release feel-good hormones known as endorphins, which can lead to euphoric feelings. Exercising also improves your appearance, making you gain confidence. You can become happier by just working out a couple times.
Practice like a Kenyan to improve your running speed. In Kenya, they start slow for the first third of their run. Gradually increase the pace as you progress through your run. During that middle third, start running at normal pace. Pull out the stops and run fast during the final third of your workout. By making an effort to stick to this each time you go out, you will find that you are able to run faster and longer than before.
Do your counting in reverse. Instead of counting upwards from zero, try counting down from your chosen number of reps. It will make your workout seem shorter and easier because you are allowing yourself to think in lesser amounts. When you only have a certain number left, it is more motivating.
You can use these suggestions to get your plan in motion. It is important to use these tips daily, not just once a week. As you progress in your fitness program, you’ll notice that you will gain energy and have better ability to cope with stress.
